The Synergy Awards is upon us again for the 3rd year running!!!

This year students will find it easier to apply for the competition with the added feature of an online application form!

Student Synergy Awards 09/10

What a competition!

The college reception area was transformed into a small enterprise ecosystem. Every company had something different to offer each with its own appeal and eye catching displays. The atmosphere was slightly apprehensive but everyone was excited and enthusiastic.

We had eight teams each doing their best to impress. With a judging panel comprised of Ena Coleman from the South Dublin County Enterprise Board, Richard O'Connor of Cruickshank Intellectual Property Attorneys and our own Synergy Centre representative, Pat O'Donnell, it was no wonder that the students needed to be on their toes.

The judges spent the whole morning deliberating. It was a very close fight and any one of our contestants had potential. Finally, having utilised the maximum time allowable, the judges came to a decision in the final moments. There were four companies that stood out.

We have a fantastic line up this year with eight teams ready to astound the judges with innovative businesses and walk away with the great cash prizes up for grabs.

If you would like to drop in to see what's on display, we would be delighted to have you join us at the final.

Prize giving ceremony begins at 14:30 in lecture hall 001.

We will have a stand in the main reception area. We will have tasty freebies for anyone who submits a valid application!!!

The closing date for the postcard application has been extended to Friday 19th February.

Postcards are available at Main Reception, Student Union or here in the Synergy Centre.

There are only 3 Entry Requirements:

- You must be a full time student at ITT Dublin.
- Your Idea must be innovative.
- One person can apply. BUT You must form a team of two members or more who come from different schools/ departments in the college to take part.

That’s it! The hardest part is coming up with the idea. However, if you have that, it couldn’t be easier!
